Aldridge Cricket Club will be hosting its annual Ground Force Day 2026 on Saturday 28th March at 10am, as preparations begin for the new season, which starts the following week with two planned friendly fixtures.

The club is calling on all members—young, old, players, parents, and supporters—to lend a hand. A strong turnout will help ensure both grounds are fully prepared and ready for competitive action.

A range of essential jobs will be completed throughout the morning, including:

Positioning sight screens across both grounds
Fitting tarpaulin sheets onto the cover frames
Sweeping and preparing the astroturf wicket ahead of outdoor training

Ground Force Day remains a key community event, bringing members together while supporting the facilities that serve players throughout the summer.

Aldridge CC encourages everyone to take part: “Many hands make light work. Even an hour of help makes a big difference.”

All members are welcome, and refreshments will be available on the day.
